Admission to the Woodlands Resource Provision is NOT via application to St Teresa’s school or the primary school’s LA mainstream admission route.

Children are assessed through a Local Authority Panel process.

Admission criteria usually includes:

  • An EHCP and a diagnosis of Autism
  • Previous opportunity to be successful in mainstream
  • Additional support needed in Language and communication/ sensory integration
  • (For part of the unit) A diagnosis of Severe Learning Disability

Your current school/ nursery’s SENCo should be able to give you advice if you feel mainstream is not the right place for your child and help you to navigate this process. Alternatively, for admission advice about all provision places in Bolton, please contact Bolton SEND Office on 01204 338612 or email ea.sen@bolton.gov.uk.

Applying for a place in ST Teresa’s RC Primary mainstream school does not give you access to the Woodlands and children on roll at St Teresa’s DO NOT have a short cut to a unit place.
