At St Teresa’s, the intention of our RSE curriculum is to ensure that children have the knowledge and skills to make informed decisions about their wellbeing, health and relationships and enable them to engage in, and manage, healthy relationships, now and in the future.

It is our intention to nurture and develop the whole child so that each unique child of God grows in confidence and has the knowledge, skills and self-esteem to achieve their full potential. Through our whole curriculum – and closely aligned with PSHE, SMSC and British Values- we want our children to develop the knowledge, skills and attributes they need to manage their lives, now and in the future.  We want our children to learn skills to develop effective relationships and assume greater personal responsibility to keep themselves healthy and safe. RSE forms part of our wider PSHE curriculum, which is a valuable central thread of our whole school curriculum, and essential for the spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of our pupils.
